Pre Owned Vintage Magnatone Leilani Varsity Guitar Amp Combo

Up for sale is this Magnatone Leilani Varsity guitar amp combo.  The amp is badged with a Magnatone label but is a Leilani amp, which was a company from the 1940's based in Santa Monica.  Yes, Santa Monica, which is where this one is right now!  This amp was built in sometime between 1948-1952,  by the Magna Electronics Company, the parent name of Magnatone Amps, and its model number is M-197-3-V.

This compact vintage gives you 5-watts of powerful tube tone that has especially high clean headroom for a low wattage amp. You get thick warm clean tones for days, but if you want gritty overdrive you can get that with this amp. This fine Magnatone comes with a classic gray pearloid covering. The Leilani Varsity is great for any guitar but really excels with lap steel or pedal steel guitars, which was its orginal intent. 

These are rarely seen.  It's in great shape, especially considering it's age.  The amp has survived for 75 years and is ready for more.  Come own a piece of amp history, back in Santa Monica!
